En un final para los hombres rápidos, Matthew Brennan (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) ganó al sprint la cuarta etapa de la Vuelta a Burgos 2026, luego de recorrer 178 kilómetros entre la localidad de Palazuelos de Muñó y el municipio de Briviesca. El austriaco Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) mantuvo el liderato sin complicaciones.
El velocista británico, que alcanzó su segunda victoria en la carrera, se quedó con el triunfo, derrotando holgadamente al neozelandés Laurence Pithie (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) y al español David González (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team), quienes terminaron 2° y 3°, respectivamente.
En cuanto a los cinco colombianos todos llegaros en el pelotón de la siguiente forma: Iván Ramiro Sosa (Kern Pharma) 58°, Brandon Rivera (Netcompany Ineos) 65°, Nairo Quintana (Movistar) 69°, Diego Pescador (Movistar) 76°, Daniel Felipe Martínez (Red Bull – Bora – hansgrohe) 99°.
La ronda burgalesa finalizará este sábado con la quinta y última etapa, la catalogada reina de 137 kilómetros entre Caleruega y Lagunas de Neila, donde conoceremos al sucesor del mexicano Isaac del Toro, campeón del año pasado.
