En el primer duelo de velocistas del Renewi Tour 2026 salió avante Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek). La jornada inicial recorrió 191,3 kilómetros por los alrededores de la histórica ciudad de Diest, en Flandes, Bélgica.
El superpotente velocista italiana fue el más rápido en el embalaje, venciendo con lo justo al neerlandés Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) y al belga Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step), 2° y 3° respectivamente, en la línea de meta.
Tras el reparto de bonificaciones, Milan se convirtió en el primer líder gracias a su victoria con 4 segundos de ventaja sobre sus más inmediatos perseguidores: el neerlandés Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) y el belga Dries De Bondt (Team Jayco AlUla).
La carrera belga continuará este jueves con la segunda etapa, otra jornada llana de 173,9 kilómetros con salida en Blankenberge y llegada a Ardooie, en la provincia de Flandes Occidental.
